Slacker!

So, I haven't written a post in awhile. I blame it on Battlestar Galactica...you evil temptress! Last night I got a haircut (finally). It feels a whole lot better not having all of that long scraggly hair to wrestle with during the hot summer months.

Memorial weekend is coming up and I’m excited to have a three day weekend. I should probably use that time to focus on home buying but I’ve gotten really discouraged with the whole thing. Renting might just be in the cards for awhile…who knows. I don’t have any big plans for the weekend though. I'm hoping to visit the Farmer’s Market on Saturday for some scrumptious produce, research some things for work, play a little GTA and finally try out Okami! Yay! It has been a long time coming. Well that is all for now. :)

last night

I promised Laura that I would blog last night. I didn't remember again until just a few minutes ago. There are a few other things I didn't do last night that I wanted to, like cutting my hair and strength training. I did start the dishwasher, but I haven't emptied it yet. Mostly, once I get home I look forward to doing two things, going to karate and watching Battlestar Galactica. Last night wasn't a karate night, but yes, we watched BSG. And last night we watched the first episode that made us think that we were really wasting our time. The episode didn't have the same fast pace as the others, none of the interesting character development, and it didn't significantly advance the major story arcs. Pretty boring. Plus it had the hard to swallow premise of a fighter pilot investigating a murder. There was also this disturbing and even more boring subplot where the same fighter pilot was getting emotionally attached to a prostitute who was emotionally substituting for the loss of a pregnant girlfriend. The concepts of this pilot having a regular prostitute and having lost a pregnant girlfriend were both introduced in this episode so there was very little emotional investment in either woman. I will say that BSG has had aberrations like this episode before and they are relatively isolated. For the most part the show does a good job of drawing you in to the lives of the characters and leaves you wondering what will happen in the next episode.
